"SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT" An unknown author once wrote, "Open your mind and your heart to the voices of your Angels...and to the good things in life that are waiting for you" This quote to me says an awful lot! Knowing how I feel about angels and their existence, I believe that this quote can teach a person so much. By many, it is believed that only small children can hear and see the angels, gently touching their cheeks and smiling at them so tenderly. I believe this with all my heart! I also believe that if one opens up their heart and soul and believes with all their might, that they too can hear their angels speaking softly to them. I believe that people who come in and out of your life for what seems no apparent reason, may also be an angel. I myself have had this experience, someone who showed up only at those moments when I needed a friendly smile and kind word, when I was feeling my lowest. Without even saying anything to this person, he would look at me and tell me, "Things will be okay." At first I didn't think too much about it, until he showed up many times after that, again, only when I felt my lowest. He always had a kind word, a wonderful smile, which seemed only for me! We had a mutual friend that drove this person to another state where he had decided to live. Funny thing is, that no one has heard from him since! It is as if his job has been done, and he has moved on, to where? no one knows! I believe this man was sent for a purpose. And, I believe in my heart that he was an angel, someone sent to comfort me at my lowest times, to cheer me up and make the day better. So, you see! You too, may have an angel watching over you, one that you are in contact with every now and then, but only at those times when you need them the most. And, one day, they may just disappear! How else could you explain the peacefulness they bring and without warning, they are gone in an instant! Open your heart, and you may just as the child does, hear and see your angel! Think about it!
"A MOUNTAIN STORY" A LESSON IN LIFE THE STORY BELOW WAS SENT TO ME BY A VERY GOOD FRIEND. I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS SUCH AN INSPIRATIONAL PIECE THAT I JUST HAD TO PUT IT HERE FOR ALL THOSE WHO VISIT, TO READ! I HOPE THAT YOU ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I DID WHEN I READ IT. I THINK IT IS A GREAT LESSON THAT EVERYONE CAN LEARN FROM AND CAN EASILY UNDERSTAND AS A WAY OF LIFE IN GENERAL.
"A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" Curious, he yells: "Who are you?" He receives the answer: "Who are you?" And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!" The voice answers: "I admire you!" Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!" He receives the answer: "Coward!" He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?" The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention." Again the man screams: "You are a champion!" The voice answers: "You are a champion!" The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it." YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!"

"SIT BY ME" I cannot stress enough the meaning of friendship and the meaning of love! Friendship and love go hand in hand with one another! You may not realize it, but, to open your life to friends is to open your heart to love. For in true friendship, lies true love. Oh, maybe not the mushy kind of love, but, a love that surpasses all understanding! An unconditional love that will last a life time and then some. I started this section a few days ago but hadn't completed it, until now. Normally, what I am writing would no doubt be considered a journal entry, but, at the same time, it is thought provoking. It is Monday morning the 27th, on Saturday night I heard sirens but didn't know at that time that it involved someone that I love very dearly. It wasn't a family member but right afterwards, someone came to my house to tell me who it was. There was a car accident involving a very special person and her friend and the friends baby. Some of you may remember the young woman because I have talked about her many times, at one point asking for prayer for her a few years back when she was also in a horrible accident and almost lost her life and that of her baby. I couldn't get to the hospital fast enough, remembering the last incident and how it affected me. This young woman has the smile that would light up the night, and the fiery temper to do the same. I didn't hesitate when I got there and said I was family and walked right in along with her mother to the emergency room. She started to cry when she saw me and I leaned over and kissed her. Next to her was her friend, cradling her baby in her arms, he had been thrown out of the car and had not been restrained while driving. To make a long story short, they are all fine but will have scrapes and bumps and bruises for awhile. Once I saw that they would be fine, I came home. Some cannot understand why this young woman is so special to me, I really can't either. It is something in my heart, it is something deep inside of her that I see and no one else does. What I am trying to say, not only about her, but, about others, is, that it is easy for me to see the good in a person and accept them as they are. Each and every person in my life has special meaning, some more than others, but all have a part in the building of who I am! A person is never really complete until their lives are over. The people you meet throughout your life time will come and go and some will stay forever! Each one will help build you into the person you become, leaving marks of love on the way. Friends are angels, sent to you by God, to help you along lifes many ups and downs. Think about the special people in your life, keep them in your heart, whether they are still around or not. I will always have room for my friends and I invite them all to, "Sit By Me!" |

"A POT OF GOLD AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW" Did you ever think about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Ever wonder what it means to you? I think that everyone has their own interpretations of it, I know I do! For me, the colors of the rainbow represent my many friends and loved ones or the many roads of life which we all walk. It starts with the cloud which to me is the beginning of a friendship or the beginning of our travels. Somewhere in the middle those friendships or roads begin to expand and take on a whole new meaning. It is when our friendships become closer or when some may even disolve but each leaves a memory that will last a life time. It is when the roads we have traveled become more meaningful and the many lessons in life are learned. At the end of that rainbow is the pot of gold! That represents to me where our lives are at their highest, where we enjoy life the most and are at peace with who we are. It doesn't mean that our lives or roads have come to an end, it just means to me that they have reached a crucial stage and we have learned many a lesson along the way. It is when the friendships we have made along the way bring more meaning to our lives, when the roads we travel have become more important and where we go from there, the pot of gold, is what will shape our lives and determine our future and the dreams it holds. So, when you look at a pot of gold and see the rainbow eminating from it, remember that you will have many roads to travel and not all will be what you want them to be, but, all will lead you to a very significant place, where you should be! And, you will have many friends that will come in and out of your life, each with a meaning so unlike all the others but will leave an everlasting memory in your heart. This is when, you should seize the moment! Take in all you see and all you hold dear to you and never let it go! I hope a rainbow shines down on you today and all through your life!
"LISTEN TO YOUR HEART" "For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 2 3:7
Reading this Proverb, some may think it belongs on my quote page. But, if you stop and think about it, it is a thought that runs very deep! Listening to your heart is something that I tell everyone to do. It is the way I live my life every day! Sure, sometimes I may use my head, with school, making decisions on what is for dinner, things of that sort. But, when it comes down to it, most of my personal decisions are made from the heart, just as most of my poems come from my heart! The heart is an amazing thing! It is only a muscle, but, oh! what a muscle! It pumps the blood through your body and a long with the brain, keeps you alive, giving you the ability to use thought processes and reasoning. Anyone ever tell you that you have a good heart? Now, does this mean, you are healthy and will live to a ripe old age? No! This means that you are a caring human being, capable of showing great emotion. I believe it is the heart, not the mind, which gives each and everyone of us the ability to feel love and hatred.
